building relationshipsIn a world of process, procedures and reporting, InterAct shows how reaching workable agreements is more important than a formulaic approach

Recent events in the Gulf of Mexico have served to illustrate the challenges facing the oil industry in seeking to meet our long-term energy needs. The environmental damage caused by the blowout of BP’s ill-fated Macondo well, and the resulting government and public reaction, can only increase the pressure on an industry that is already, and rightly, one of the most heavily regulated at local, national and international levels.  read more >>

offshore platform wellheadsInterAct completes challenging subsea well abandonment in UK waters

InterAct, an Acteon company, has successfully completed the abandonment of an unusual well for Centrica Hydrocarbon Resources Limited in the East Irish Sea. Observation well 110/2-7 was drilled in 1983 and used to monitor temperatures and pressures in the South Morecambe gas field. The well was enclosed within a bathymetric chamber to enable divers to gain occasional access to the various gauges attached to the well. After a period of use, the well was suspended and, in 1999, part of the chamber removed and chamber left flooded.  read more >>

wirelss process control for remote tank farmA process control system that automatically makes calls to plant operators lies at
the heart of a major oil facility expansion in California

Central to the project was the installation of six new tanks, of which the largest is used to store produced water before its reinjection into the reservoir. InterAct managed all this work, beginning with a detailed review of the tank designs and ending with the final inspection process. The company’s engineers also took care of the piping system that links the new tanks. Extensive use was made of 3D modeling during the design phase to optimize the layout.   read more >>

rigless solution for well interventionInterAct and InterMoor offer Rigless Solutions for Well Intervention - No rig? No Problem!!

The partnership of InterAct and InterMoor illustrates the power of combined resources. Utilizing cutting edge technology, they have implemented the ISLS (InterMoor Subsea Lubricator System). The ISLS is the most advanced and cost-effective method for subsea well intervention. subsea well abandonmentInterAct's UK New Study - InterAct UK Helps Mobilize Well Abandonment Technologies

In a report published in March 2009, Oil & Gas UK highlights the £15 billion ($25 billion) market for services needed to abandon nearly 5,000 platform and subsea wells on the UK continental shelf. The report, prepared by the Acteon company InterAct Activity Management Ltd with the help of Oil & Gas UK's well abandonment workgroup, also identified that existing technology will allow the abandonment of only two thirds of wells without the use of a rig. The rigless abandonment of the remaining one third will be reliant on the development of new technologies.  read more >>

slot recovery and field optimizationSlot Recovery & Field Optimization: InterAct, Claxton & CIS Deliver Comprehensive Service

As reservoirs are depleted, production from specific wells may no longer be financially viable. Operators can cost-effectively drill new, more productive wells and extend platform and field life by reclaiming slots from underperforming wells. By combining their strengths, InterAct, Claxton, and CIS (Acteon group companies and recognized leaders in their fields) have established a strong track record in managing and executing the different phases of the slot-recovery process – from field redevelopment, the planning of abandonments and P&A.  read more >>.
