Shell Offshore Well Conductor & Debris Removal

Client: Shell Exploration & Production Company

InterAct permitted and managed the removal of well debris from two subsea wells (240’ deep) offshore the coast of Gaviota, California.  Fieldwork required divers to mechanically sever the well conductors that protruded above the seafloor, monitor the wells, and remove miscellaneous field debris to free the area of potential fishing hazards.

The project required permits from the CA Coastal Commission, CA State Lands Commission, CA Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources, and the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District.
