Cyclic Steam Injection and Soak Test Project

A feasibility study by InterAct examined the permitting, capital (equipment) and operational costs and schedule for a pilot cyclic steam stimulation (CSS) test, designed to investigate the enhanced production rates from CSS in Central California.  The results of the pilot test can be used to optimize the design of full-scale field development that may include steam flood, horizontal wells or other technologies.

Scope of work completed by InterAct:

  1. Determine the equipment and materials necessary for the test study;
  2. Complete a preliminary design of the facility including development of procedures for the wells’ recompletions;
  3. Assess permitting and regulatory requirements that may affect budget and timing;
  4. Compile budgetary capital and operational costs, taking into consideration the preliminary facility design and regulatory requirements above.
