Rigless Subsea Well Abandonment using SWAT - Suspended Well Abandonment Tool

Since its development in 1996,Acteon Group have abandoned over 130 subsea wells for over 20 operators in the North Sea using the SWAT, the Suspended Well Abandonment Tool.  Addtionally SWAT is the winner of a Petroleum Institute platinum innovation award.

SWAT campaigns are enabled through the collective strength of several Acteon Group companies.

SWAT (provided by our  sister Acteon company, Claxton Engineering and delivered via OIS' vessel charter capability), the world’s first vessel-oriented abandonment tool, allows for rigless, riserless, diverless operation in up to 600 feet of water depth.  The tool is designed to perforate, circulate and cement multiple casing annuli while maintaining strict well control.

InterAct supports SWAT campaigns providing the initial well engineering reviews ahead of operations.
